\"Poker\" <\/p>\n

Poker players can win or lose their hands based on their hand strength and suit combinations. The best possible hand, at any time, is called the “nuts”. For example, a hand consisting of trip sevens would need a 7 on the turn and river to complete the straight. Alternatively, a hand consisting of four of a kind would need two of the same suits on the turn and river.<\/p>\n

There are several versions of Poker, including draw and stud games. The most common version of stud poker involves two players holding two hole cards and three face-up cards. Each player then has one final face-down card. Players must complete a sequence of betting rounds, ending with a showdown. Some variations of poker are played by a single player, while others are played by a whole group of players.<\/p>\n

Today, more than 100 million people play poker online. In the United States alone, there are more than 60 million players. Poker has a long history and continues to grow in popularity. Whether you play poker online or in a brick and mortar poker room, there is sure to be a game that will suit your style of playing.<\/p>\n

The first player in each betting round puts in a bet of one or more chips. The players to his left must “call” the bet or “raise” it.
